Led by chef and owner Hector Diaz, Modesto features a farm to table approach to upscale wood-fired Italian. The menu changes twice daily and includes a variety of fresh seafood, fine meats, and house made pastas. Pizzas are hand-tossed and cooked in a wood fired oven made in Italy. To compliment your meal, our bar offers over 30 exclusively Italian wines as well as a dynamic list of classic and cutting edge cocktails. Desserts are made from scratch, including our famous tiramisu, and we proudly serve SRO Coffee.

    We enjoyed our lunch today. I had the Sofia Loren and my husband had a pasta with Bolognese sauce. We shared calamari as a starter. Our server was very friendly and attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. This is a restaurant we come to many times and we are glad it’s here.

    A gem downtown- staff wonderful [couple ahead of us had no reservation but they made quick accommodations to seat them] - food was 5-star. Oysters superb- and bread appetizer with salsa verde wonderful- the gnocchi was also enough to share. Entrees were also large portioned- seafood pasta, cioppino, was the best I've had- A must if in town, a habit for locals.

    Too much salad dressing on my Cesar salad. Too much sauce on the pizza(it was a Margherita and no basil?) but, the seafood “manhattan” soup was delicious. Our waitress wasnt very knowledgeable but very sweet and she called us Girls; which made us giggle cause we’re seniors

    Excellent food and service. The chef continues to raise the bar on creative a culinary dishes. Restaurant is also very accommodating for guests with food allergies.
