Milton's is a local restaurant that is a beautifully renovated 160 year old Farmhouse displaying many of it's original features, nestled in the heart of the Crabapple area of Milton, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Executive Ashley Jones serves “New Southern” cuisine that utilizes fresh, local ingredients to create regionally inspired comfort food with bold flavors that are artistically presented in a relaxed and friendly environment. Our server had a group of friends at a table next to us and spent his time chatting with them instead of attending to his other tables. The side area where we were seated (outside but walled off by tent like materials) had HVAC issues and the noise level is pretty high. The food and drinks, had they been brought out when ready, would’ve been much better. Overall, a disappointing experience.

My dear friend and I had the filet and shrimp and grits- both excellent. Great service. Tactfully let us catch up a few minutes before we were ready to order. Much appreciated.

                                                                                        Our experience was mixed. The ambience was very nice. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation and had drinks at the bar. The wine selection was wonderful. Our table was ready at our reservation time, which was nice. We were seated in a small room with a nice fire going. Very comfortable room with nice ambiance, but the noise level was high. The service was mediocre for the caliber of this restaurant. When we were seated, we waited between 12-15 minutes for a server to come take our drink order. This set the stage the rest of the evening- we rarely saw our server. She was very kind when she stopped by but just barely attentive throughout the evening. Our food, though, was incredible. We both had filet mignon, and it was truthfully one of the best filet mignon I’ve had. The fried green tomatoes were very good. The mushrooms were delicious! Overall, I give this a 3 because of the service. But we also are understanding that maybe it was an off night. We will give it another try sometime.
