Located in Downtown San Jose, Mezcal boasts one of the most distinctive dining rooms in San Jose. The brick exterior, metal work and indigenous Mexican motifs, sets the restaurant apart from its neighbors. Although the design is urban upscale, there is nothing watered down about the menu. A warm and welcoming environment with delicious food. An evening of delicious cocktails prior to attending a concert. The mole enchiladas and house margarita was a hit!

I was hoping for a place with character and we got it. I had what in most places would be a quesadilla but this one was so elevated and outstanding. And my mescal margarita, so good

We had such an amazing lunch! The owner and staff are amazing and whole hearted. I’ve been coming for years and it was nice to see staff stay consistent and that only happens when people are passionate about the people, food, and what they do. You truly felt the passion and love with the food and service! Highly recommend the guacamole, el mole coloradito, and the margaritas! They are the perfect combo! Thank you for having us!

Cool decor. Awesome food that taste like you’re over at a really good cook’s house. The bartender service was very slow unfortunately and that made the experience not as good as it could’ve been since we were waiting for 20minutes after ordering a drink and they weren’t full either. Other than that I would definitely go back to this place.
