   We had a great evening! The food was excellent, margaritas superb and our servers were real pros and could not have been any better! We will return!

   We love dinner here and had to try brunch. It was fabulous, from the French press coffee to the steak and eggs and cinnamon vanilla pancakes! Jameson was a wonderful server. Mexican Sugar is our new favorite restaurant.

   We had a wonderful evening at Mexican Sugar. The food and drink was fantastic. Our server was outstanding. Management stopped by to check on our experience. We will definately be back.

   I booked my birthday dinner several weeks before and confirmed in advance as well. When I showed up 10 minutes before my reservation which was at 7 PM, I was told to give them just a couple minutes and they will get me sat shortly. We didn’t get sat until about 7:40 PM and while I understand the restaurant was busy all of the servers seem to be extremely overwhelmed. If no one told you I’ll, it is 1000% OK to stop taking walk-ins. It is OK to not run your service staff ragged! One of my guests asked the host what was the issue with seating, they were told they had no idea where we would be placed. We wound up being put at one of the long tables across from the bar and  the area was highly congested with normal foot traffic as well as patrons who were waiting for tables. For it to have been a birthday dinner I expected far better service and to speak with my guest about their food and they only feel it was OK or meh and the drinks were strong but disgusting was truly an embarrassing experience.

   Didn’t seat us until 30 min after our reservation. Also, the entire service experience was fairly slow other than that it was very good.

   Normally a Five Star experience. However this evening we had to switch tables because of incoming sippy cups being hurled at our table. Just a loud and noisy night. Not restaurants fault, but it is what it is. Oddly the Tequila flights were 1 out of 3, meaning the Hisbiscus was spot on but the classico and especially the machete(watermelon was watered down) did not hit their mark.

   I went to this restaurant for my birthday and regretted it immediately. From the moment I sat down, I knew I had made the wrong choice. The seating was cramped,noisy environment and a woman at a nearby table kept coughing. I asked to be moved, but the waiter refused. The service was awful! The waiter never introduced herself, didn’t take our drink order, and simply brought back water. When I asked about the food, she wasn’t helpful at all. I specifically asked if the food was spicy because I had my kids with me, and she assured me it wasn’t, but they couldn’t even eat it. It felt like a complete waste of time and money. Everything was rushed, and the overall experience was very disappointing. I won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

    My boyfriend and I are celebrating our anniversary and we were looking for a good restaurant with Mexican food! I was looking on Tick Tock and came across Mexican Sugar. As soon as we walked in the hosts were nice. The interior was beautiful! The server we had was very knowledgeable about the food and drink menu. I would recommend this place to my family and friends. 🤍🌹
