Maya is now accepting reservations from 4:30-8:30 Monday through Saturday as well as curbside take out orders during the same hours. Please visit our homepage to see our updated selections daily. Please call if you require a reservation over 8 guests. Seating preferences will be honored based on volume and staffing.




Located in the center of Charlottesville Virginia’s Midtown, MAYA serves dinner 6 days a week. Our “made from scratch” menu is prepared daily in honor of the Old Southern Kitchen.

    The trout was delicious and cooked to perfection! We also enjoyed the grits as well as the collard greens. A wonderfully prepared southern dinner!

    This is a fun, casual neighborhood gem! If we lived here, we definitely would be regular customers. They have an innovative cocktail list with items as potent as they are tasty. All of the food from appetizers to entrees to desserts were delicious and full of flavor. And the friendly, engaging, attentive service was the topper to a great dining experience!

    The entire experience at Maya was delightful! On top of superior customer service, the meal was outstanding - every flavor in each dish stood out and complimented perfectly. Put this restaurant on your absolute go-to list in Charlottesville!

    The meat was overcooked. Restaurant was a little drafty. We were looking for more of a cozy. Romantic vibe which was not really the ambiance. Friendly staff.

    We had dinner in a booth by the bar. I have no idea what the upstairs dining room is like. We each started with a cocktail. They gave an extensive and creative list of cocktails. We shared the cornmeal crusted fried oysters. They were fresh and very tender, fried to a crispy perfection. Tcornmeal breading was not too heavy. A great start. My wife had the baby back pork ribs and I had the bone-in pork chop, both were delicious and loaded with flavor. They have an extensive selection of sides that are freshly prepared, definitely not an afterthought. We were visiting C-ville but if we lived there, Maya would be a regular stop for us.

    Awesome green bean and shaved Brussels sprouts side dishes, delicious trout, satisfying lentil and mushroom cakes, very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff; solid.

    We really enjoyed our diner at Maya. I had beef stew which was delicious. My husband had trout and really enjoyed it. The service was prompt and the server was very pleasant. Would definitely recommend.
