Featuring Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s signature new-style Japanese cuisine, Matsuhisa Denver anchors the ground floor of the Steele Creek luxury apartment building in Cherry Creek, Denver’s premier shopping, restaurant, and entertainment district. Our 7,800 square foot dining room is open for dinner service from 5pm nightly. Takeout available nightly from 5-9pm.

Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s world-famous cuisine draws influence from his classical training in Tokyo and his life abroad in Peru, Argentina, and around the world, showcasing signature dishes such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño, Black Cod Miso and Whitefish Tiradito.

Exceeded expectations - everything was on point from the cocktails to each of the expertly crafted dishes. Plus our waitress was fantastic and made the experience fun and exciting. Will definitely be back

Food was very solid. We started with some gyoza and edamame. The lamb gyoza was particularly good. For sushi, we had several orders of nigiri and one tuna roll. The maguro and seared maguro were slightly above average. The toro, however, was very good. The wagyu nigiri was also delicious. Unagi was also very good. The tuna roll was average as the seaweed seemed damp vs crispy. Matsuhisa was busy on a Saturday night. Service was good but not exceptional. Music volume was a bit loud which drove louder conversations. Not a huge deal, but I’d recommend lowering it slightly. One note: We couldn’t find a dairy free option for dessert, which was disappointing but not a big deal.

Incredible service and even better food. The quality is so fresh and worth the price. It was our first time trying the caviar roll—it was hands down our favorite dish. I can't even describe how delicious the texture and flavor are. I also always enjoy the yellowtail jalapeno sashimi. You have to try these two dishes for yourself, as well as other recommended rolls and salmon nigiri. This restaurant is exceptional for a romantic date night.

Excellent dining experience. Our waiter, Nick, and all of the other staff were very professional, kind and helpful. The restaurant is elegant and comfortable Timing of the courses was excellent and everything was delicious. Lamb gyoza was a tasty surprise. The cucumber salad with crab was my favorite.

All of the staff were exceptional. Recommendations from our sushi chef were terrific. We will certainly be back when we are in Denver.

This could be the best dinner we have had, ever. Sean (I’m sorry if I misspelled your name),the sommelier suggested we talked to our server, Eric, and have him talk to the chef to course our dinner. The food came at a very relaxed interval, so we were able to really enjoy, and satiate, every dish. The the food presentations were beautiful, and each one outstanding. There was a birthday in our party of two, and their presentation of a birthday dessert was impressive. There is nothing that could have made the evening better. The staff is great and the ambience perfect.

I have eaten here twice a year for the past 5+ years. The last three visits the quality and quantity of food has gone done each time. I always order the omakase and for the price it simply is not up to par. My most recent visit there was no nigiri at all. One course we had was the waygu beef which was served on a plate for two. It was about 2 ounces of sliced beef and mostly salad. Quite sad actually. Service was excellent but I doubt I will return.
