Maison Carlos is a continental restaurant with an emphasis on French and Italian cuisine. Carlos and Lanie Farias opened Maison Carlos in December of 2002. After seven years on Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach, the couple made the decision to move their establishment a couple miles south to the El Cid neighborhood. They wanted a smaller restaurant with more of a neighborhood vibe. The new space has only eleven tables and is open for dinner only. Carlos is there every night, seating people, taking orders and is very hands on. Being open only for dinner Carlos spends his days shopping for the restaurant, selecting only the freshest ingredients.

We were made to feel welcome upon entering this small restaurant. ( maybe 10 tables). The complementary fried zucchini chips were crisp and salted. Everyone enjoyed the appetizers . We sampled the vichyssoise, beet and goat cheese salad and a warm goat and tomato terrine. All were delicious and enjoyed . Three of us ordered the duck breast that was served with crispy frittes. Although tasty , we all decided that it was just slightly overcooked and a bit chewy . The fourth of our party had the chicken and risotto which he said was perfect. We will go back as the escargot in a bowl is magnificent! As is the veal scallopini which we’ve had in the past.

The service was wonderful and loved the zucchini chips to start. Thought the clams casino would be larger. The eggplant rollatini was delicious.

Small, intimate restaurant located on Dixie highway. Food is delicious with ample portions ..pasta bolognese, salmon, duck, are a few of the dishes we have tried all delicious. As you are seated you are given a plate of warm zucchini chips…gone in a few minutes No liquor..just an extended wine list and a few beers
