   This was my third or fourth time to Lon’s, and every time it’s been a wonderful experience. The food is delicious, the service is spot-on, the location surprises people who have never been there before because it’s hidden away, the setting, especially the outdoor patio in the evening when they can light the lights, fireplace and the heaters outside, is beautiful. Yeah, it’s a bit “spendy”, but they do it right. Drop by and slip into the bar and have a drink and catch the vibe of the place. The odds are really good you’ll be back for to eat.

   Everything was perfect!! Nick our waiter was so nice. The food was spectacular. The live music set the entire experience apart! Great bday celebration!

   The setting, live entertainment and ambience of Lon’s is terrific. However, the service and drinks/food left much to be desired. The menu has kitschy named non-alcoholic drinks like Anna’s Love Letter and One Way Ticket which when I asked the waiter about them he said he didn’t know anything about them because they were just added to the menu. My companion and I decided to order them anyway (@$14/each) and were nonplussed with these concoctions (would not order them again). As far as the main course is concerned, I ordered the Berkshire Pork Schnitzel ($63). Wikipedia defines Schnitzel as a thin slice of meat that is usually thinned by a meat tenderizer then breaded and fried. What I received was a breaded “pork chop” (term used by the server) on a bed of overly salted cream spinach which is not what I was expecting nor wanted. Needless to say I did not eat much of this offering. My companion ordered the Coffee Crusted Prime Zabuton ($68) cooked medium. What she received was a steak that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. Instead of sending it back to the kitchen after trying a couple of bites, she decided to take the rest of the steak home for her dog. Needless to say, our dinner outing to Lon’s was disappointing.    Lon's is always special. We too our good friend there for her 87th birthday. Our waiter, Nick, was excellent. Didn't rush us, and made sure we were always happy. As it got later in the evening, the heaters were turned on/and up and it was quite cozy. Everyone was quite happy with the meal they ordered. The appetizers and salads were excellent. We decided that we were too stuffed for desert, but they brought a piece of birthday cake for our guest.... with forks for everyone! Lon's has always been a special place for us and will continue to be special.

   Atmosphere was lovely and nice overall experience. Very pricey and not always worth it. Liked venison and antelope. Foie gras appetizer came with sweet apple cake that was not good match. Both wines we chose were not in stock but sommelier helped with substitute.

   Lon’s is consistently a great dinner location and we have been several times. It did not disappoint again this evening. We had great service and the food was fabulous. It has definitely become more expensive as a nice dinner with a bottle of wine with a 20% tip because it was great service was about $400. Having said that, however, we had a great split bowl of poblano soup and the mushroom tempura for appetizers and then we had a filet mignon and sea bass. The food was cooked perfectly and Chrissy our server was wonderful. We had some lemon sherbet and chocolate gelato for desert. For wine we had a bottle of Daou Reserve Cabernet. The love acoustic guitar player was wonderful as well. All in, it was just perfect earring outside on the patio with my beautiful wife.

   Absolutely beautiful restaurant! From the moment you are seated until you leave, the ambiance, staff, and food are beyond exceptional! Ely was amazing. Highly recommended!

   Lons@ Hermosa Inn- It's our go to anniversary dinner spot when in town! love the ambiance, the history bleeds through and adds to the charm and genuine southwestern hospitality! The staff are the best and the food excels always!

   Very nice experience. Sat outside on the patio. Had a great waitress (Krissy). The Brussel Sprouts were the best we’ve had anywhere (and we’ve had a lot). Also ordered the “surprise me” non-alcoholic drink and received a prickly pear lemon aid. I was worried but turned out very good. We had the carne asada tacos and carne asada Caesar Salad. Both were very good. The tacos were 3 full size (vice street). The steak was prepared well but, being from and in Arizona, I expected a bit more of a marinaded steak. Not sure why since it’s not technically a Mexican restaurant and carne asada is really just grilled meat. A personal preference thing I guess. Had the pumpkin brûlée for dessert. Very good. Overall had a very nice time.

    Always one of favorite places to go when visiting the Scottsdale area. The atmosphere is relaxing and the views are beautiful. The service is over the top and the whole experience is magical.
