I will confess that the menu was much smaller than anticipated and we got the brunch menu, which I understood because of it being New Years Day. I saw this as a good thing because to me, the smaller the menu, the better the food is going to be. Boy I was right and my gut told me to get the risotto.
While my mom and I waited for our food, we were taking in and enjoying the quiet ambiance and we did get to enjoy the Perry Glass exhibit after we finished. It’s worth checking out. When our food arrived, I already knew I was in for a treat because the earthy, cheesy and creamy aroma filled the air and I couldn’t wait to dig in. The presentation looked like an art piece and I knew I was in for a treat.
OH. MY. GOD. It’s the best risotto I’ve ever tasted and according to Shantal, our server, it’s not a regular menu item of theirs, but it should be because the little mushrooms on the top were crispy like bacon and I had a take a picture of the masterpiece because I knew it was going to vanish in minutes. If the chefs are reading this, please make it a regular menu item.
My mom was disappointed in her steak, but she was already in a bad mood. However, she enjoyed the Perry Glass exhibit and agreed to come back when the Glass Light offers their regular dinner menu.
We will be back to enjoy the bougie elegance and masterpieces of the Glass Light and dig into more of its ambrosia in the future!
