Cielos at Lodge on the Desert offers one of the best dining options in Southern Arizona. Dine on contemporary seasonal cuisine that pays tribute to Southwest ingredients. Complemented by classic craft cocktails featuring local spirits and a delectable wine list, Cielos is the perfect place for a romantic night out or a casual happy hour with friends.
The intimate space is framed with floor-to-ceiling windows and overlooks a spacious secluded Saltillo-tiled outdoor private patio featuring bistro string lighting, a four-sided, tiled fireplace for optimal year-round al fresco dining. Cielos and its Bar both reflect a genuine, richly authentic Southern Arizona historic charm and ambience including rough-hewn artist-design hand-painted wood beams, Mexican tin chandeliers, floating potted plants and shade sails.

Overall experience was ok. Happy Hour wine was excellent and a good value. Wife’s dinner entree, Diver scallops, were not as advertised on the menu-not bacon wrapped. Also there were only three scallops - for $42.00? We would have expected at least five scallops for that price. Service was excellent. Our table was on the patio near the fireplace. Nice ambiance but a little noisy.

I was disappointed with the experience. There was live music that made conversation near impossible. The service was excellent but the food was definitely a disappointment. I ordered the pork chop which was small, not on the bone and sliced in the kitchen. All in all, for what it cost, it was not a good value for the money.

We had been looking forward to a simple, well made meal. The Arugula Watermelon salad was good, but the Lamb Chops were way undercooked, and the Tamale was very doughy. They were gracious enough to comp the lamb, but it did put a damper on the evening. Our server was excellent (Amanda). We won’t be back.

Made a 1430 reservation for Christmas Day. We arrived early 1408. We were asked if we wanted inside or out. We said inside. We went to the bar to wait. We had Long Island Ice Tea and a Grapefruit Cosmo. LOIT was excellent, Cosmo good but needed more sugar.. flavor. Table was not ready by 1430 realizing the buffet was only available until 1500. We were sat in some room alone, we took a look at the buffet and decided to not pay $79 per person was not worth it. Merry Christmas!

We dined in the beautiful courtyard and the tamale was one of the best I’ve ever had. Good jazz combo made for great dinner.

Pleace was great but there was a lot of noise coming from one table but we got thru it. Food was great and service was great. Would go again and tell my friends about the place.

Food and service were great. Nice band playing but not too loud to enjoy family dinner.

We had reservations for the Thanksgiving buffet - we encountered the following: pros: Pleasant staff Fast seating Cons: They ran out of many dishes, including roast TURKEY on Thanksgiving! The whole point of coming to a Thanksgiving buffet. Many dishes were picked over and not refilled. Anyone seated for the final 1-2 hours of the reservation only buffet did not have a full buffet by any stretch. Ran out of most desserts Tablecloth was super dirty- stained and spilled food. Had to ask waiter about it who covered food/stains with a napkin This was our first time at Cielos. Maybe regular offerings are better but the Thanksgiving buffet was pretty much a “fail” for us.

Seemed like Cielos overdid it with the tables making it overcrowded and getting bumped by other guests Had to walk around to find waiter/waitresses for water. Also got charged an extra $50. Your chef is spectacular but greedy ness is not the answer
