For over a century, MICHELIN has been the food world’s north star (pun intended) to the world’s best restaurants. The scope of the Guide now offers a wider lens than ever before—with a new constellation of cities and restaurants added to its recs, we think it makes for some pretty appetizing stargazing. At Quetzal, we celebrate regional Mexican cuisine, inspired by traditional flavours and cooking styles, all cooked over a 28 foot-long open fire that runs the span of the hot line. Outstanding, as usual. The flat iron tartare was the winner dish of the evening, a 'special' that deserves a permanent spot on the menu. Service was impeccable; the servers' attention to detail was exactly what you would expect from a M rated restaurant. My third time at Quetzal. So far, its been better each time I go.

We had an exceptional evening at Yukashi. Chef was very entertaining and answered all of our questions about the ingredients and Japanese cuisine. Everything was creatively presented and flavourful. We enjoyed the sake pairings and trying the chef’s own sake creations. The service was excellent and the restaurant had a wonderful ambiance. It was fun and elegant.

La Bartola has an ambient atmosphere perfect for intimate dates or more lively dinners with colleagues and friends. The staff are attentive and friendly, willing to offer recommendations and explanations of menu items without hesitation. I had their white mole dish, followed by the chocolate cake, and was blown away by how incredible everything tasted. For cocktails, the Oaxacan (pronounced "Wa-ha-kan") Old Fashioned is an unmissable classic, combining the flavours of an Old Fashioned with the unmistakeable smokiness of mescal, which is a Oaxacan specialty. I've been to Bartola twice now and, as a non-vegan, find their menu exciting, intriguing, and, above all, outstanding. I will be back!

Those who regularly dine at Fat Pasha have long known what a treasure it is for its fantastic Jewish cuisine. Dinner is available seven days a week, while brunch is served Wednesday through Sunday. Fat Pasha is well-equipped to handle special occasions, such as birthdays, corporate events and bat mitzvahs. But even if you just want to pop in for meal for the first time simply because you've never been, you'll quickly see why so many people love it. The menu at Fat Pasha is specially crafted and all the entrees are prepared using the freshest ingredients. You can start off with delicious pickles and hot olives and then move on to things, such as smoked salmon or roasted chicken. Be sure to save room for one of the excellent desserts. Takeout is always available if you want to bring something home or back to the office.

The antipasti we had was an off-menu carciofi alla romana, with a slightly-too-subtle negroni, and a very proud luxardo special. Fantastic pastas, we had the agnolotti al funghi and it was truly sublime—velvet texture and big flavour. The secondi was grilled branzino, impeccably prepared and served with a perfect salmoriglio. Service was fantastic, paced well, with solid recommendations from our server. Well above average, overall.
