Mamakas Taverna is an elegant 85-seat Greek taverna on Ossington Ave. Owner Thanos Tripi brings a fresh, authentic approach to Aegean food, offering classical Greek dishes against a contemporary canvas. Each plate is thoughtfully crafted to evoke the way Thanos’ grandmother cooked, inviting guests to explore the Greece he grew up with through food, art and music.

Meant to mimic an open market, the room is built of white concrete blocks creating an effect similar to the stucco seen throughout Greece. Mamakas is a nod to heritage, history and family memories – the daily trip to the market for ripe and fragrant tomatoes. Visiting a trusted butcher for fresh paithakia, and the local fish monger for the daily catch.

Service and food/drink start to finish was amazing! There was a mix up in my order and it was quickly resolved, no troubles! I really appreciate their friendliness, chatter, efficient work. Tables can be small for ordering big things, can get crowded! But love the look and feel of the space. It’s busy and feels close to others, but we were able to still really enjoy our time, food and conversations.

my wife and I walked in and was welcome at the entrance. Having given my name and reservation time, I walked back to have a seat, and even before reaching it we were approached by the lady who walked us to our table. The light was dim, it was calm with nice Christmas song playing in the background. Within seconds we have our waitress coming to our table with a welcoming smile introducing her to us. She brought us a glass of water each while we looked at the menu. I order my usual meal when I first walk in a restaurant, a medium rare New York sirloin with accompaniments sautéed fresh vegetables. I ordered Escargi as starter. My wife was so pleased by the area we were sitting, and while waiting for our food we ordered a glass of wine and a Sangria. The wine was good and the Sangria delicious. The waitress brought us some warm bread and cream after asking us. Soon the Escargot can and to my surprise it was a bigger portion than I expected and that was so delicious. Time to have lunch, our food were served and my wife was also shocked by the portion of her Nachos with decorative sides such as salsa, guacamole and a whipped cream. She could not finish it all while I was enjoying my steak. The sautéed vegetables was also safe a bigger portion compared to what other restaurants I’ve been to always served. The steak was as I requested it and the quality was phenomenal. Medium rare, fresh, juicy steak! That brought is big smile in my face. I would recommend this place to anyone who lives in the East, and why not from other area as I came from Barrie!! Yes from Barrie to Ajax to have the most amazing service and higher quality meals for just $103.00 including a token of HST only.

Treadwell offers indoor dining and outdoor dining on our enclosed and heated patio. We are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

During the Fall and Winter months, dinner reservations are available on Monday thru Thursday from 5pm to 730pm. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, we offer two seatings - between 5pm and 6pm; as well as between 745pm and 8:45pm (with each table allocated 2hr 30min). Please note that our menu for dinner is a multi-course, prix fixe menu ($115 per guest).

Lunch reservations are available between 11:30am and 2pm, with our lunch a la carte menu being offered. Breakfast is served between 8am and 10am

Fantastic experience once again at the Ancaster Mill for brunch. Incredible variety of food. Ambience is beautiful year round, service was very good. A tad pricey, but a great place to go on special occasions, especially at christmas time.

This was my first time dining here and it was an amazing dining experience, even if pricey (but quality was worth it). Staff are friendly and professional - the food was sublime and the sommelier was very helpful. And the snow storm cleared up just in time to see the amazing views. Husband had gone a few weeks before with the guys and highly recommended we go together. Must get the ribs and brisket. Always a pleasure dining at Bistro 67! I had the student special (agnolotti pasta stuffed with feta cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, in a creamy pesto sauce) which was outstanding. Wish it could become a regular item on the menu. Their special drink (winter red sangria) was superb! Service was excellent, as always.

Our first time at Cafe Boulud and we enjoyed a delightful breakfast! The restaurant and hotel are absolutely beautiful. The service was fantastic and attentive - given we were there on Christmas morning we really appreciated the servers and hosts giving the impression there was no place they'd rather be.
