About the restaurant
Founded in late November 2016, 3Fils is piloted by a team who live by a diehard daringness to be different, to offer a story akin to the ‘2 cents worth’ [cents being the equivalent to fils in UAE] opinion of dining in Dubai’ with every bite. With harbour-side community-style dining, 3Fils serves up premium Asian dishes with a Japanese twist as its focus. The 3Fils team is a family, available whenever you need them for anything, removing the ‘personal waiter’ vibe of hospitality. I recently dined at woodfire and was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. The ambiance was impeccable, setting the perfect tone for a memorable meal. Every dish we tried was exceptional, with flavors that truly stood out. The service was equally outstanding; Rita was particularly helpful and professional, enhancing our dining experience. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant and trying their menu, especially the bone marrow—it was a standout!

The restaurant is driven by the culinary maestro, Chef Rahul Rana, who has a rich background in curating vegetarian and patisserie concepts in culinary arts. The menu at AVATARA will showcase a modern avatar of the techniques, philosophy, and story of soulful Indian food. Indian cuisine was originally predominantly vegetarian. The star of the dinner experience is the food itself. It’s one of the most satisfying meal we’ve ever had in Dubai, from the presentation to the well executed balance of the dishes. We took advantage of the restaurant week and ordered the special menu for the event. We had the terrine and oysters for appetisers, the terrine is so authentically French, each morsel is a trip to the French countryside. For the main course we had the beef cheeks braised in red wine sauce literally melt in your mouth, and the cod fish so excellently complimented with a white sauce of subtle richness, it was simply divine. Bonus was a reasonably priced wine list. The service was attentive without being intrusive, thank you Simon. Ambiance was moderate chic, they can do with more plants to make the otherwise cavernous space cozier. All in all - a fantastic experience we would like to repeat. We even advertised it to our friends for the restaurant week event. Highly recommended.

Beautiful setting with a great view, friendly staff and pleasant music. Carpaccio and mushroom risotto very good indeed, arancini dry and without flavour. When told this, waiter said “Oh” and walked off. Expresso martinis very good. Would absolutely return but please fix the arancini !

About the restaurant
Everything started from its geographical location.

The restaurant is suspended, as though floating, in the heart of a sweltering city district, in the center of the world, yet in the middle of the desert.

Ninive is designed as a contemporary urban majlis between a garden and a caravanserai. In Islamic culture, the majlis is the space where one meets to make decisions.

It needed a name that represented this meeting, preserving its link to the history of the region.

Now, according to researchers, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the only Wonder of the World never found, would have flourished in ancient Ninive, one of the oldest cities of Mesopotamia.

This name requires authenticity, it induces a thousand stories that carry the legend.

This is how Ninive was born.

All the experience was very nice, we just had a little miscommunication but when fixed all was perfect, however the room was very cold 🥶 because of the AC and we were freezing, that also makes the food get cold very fast, other than that we really liked it and for sure will be back!
