We have brunch at Atelier Florian every Sunday morning for over a year. We have had a delicious meal from a varied and enticing menu in a quiet, intimate atmosphere every week. We have gotten to know our favorite waitress, Trinity, and all the other waitstaff, from the chef (SO glad he's back!!) to the busboys. Everyone does his/her job pleasantly and professionally. The Bloody Marys are the absolute best! Every item on the Sunday Brunch menu is worth a try, from the Eggs Benedict to the "Homerun." The atmosphere is impressively understated, casual, and comfortable. Background music is pleasant while being hardly noticeable. (We miss the live guitar and piano music of the past that made the experience even more special.) The fact that we continue to go back week after week says it all. Whether we go alone or meet friends or relatives, Sunday Brunch at Atelier Florian is one of the highlights of our week.

Named after the Milford, Connecticut beach where it first opened during Prohibition, in its halcyon days The Anchor became a favorite watering hole for actors, artists, poets, writers, and Yalies, and the after-work boîte for bartenders and staff from other bars.

Relaunching in 2016, The Anchor effortlessly aligned with a revitalized Downtown New Haven, in the vibrant midst of Yale University. The bar and eatery simultaneously honors, embraces, and reflects the City’s economic, social and intellectual diversity—representing a cultural cocktail of town and gown immediacy of a deadline.

The Anchor’s new owner, Yale alumnus Karl Franz Williams’ plan is to preserve the best and most recognizable aspects of the restaurant’s former incarnation and create something evocative and timeless.

Despite offering reservations in the “Bar” area. The bartender said “I know what it says online but we don’t do that”. Despite this, they did find a table for us to sit at and were accommodating when our party unexpectedly grew.

We ate an anniversary dinner at the Inn, a wonderful four-course meal of oysters, lobster, braised short ribs, and sea bass. Everything was delicious, and we're excited to return. Below is a fuller review of the Inn itself: We had a wonderful time at Lambert's Cove Inn. We stayed one night for our anniversary. Upon arriving to the island, we received two messages from the staff via text. This was wonderful as it allowed us to request early check-in. When we got to the Inn, we were greeted by Galen and Anna. They informed us that we could check in early and gave us a tour of the Inn. The grounds are spectacular. We were very happy to have arrived early as it provided time to take a leisurely walk to the pond, through lush flowers and plans, and near the alpacas. The room was cozy and had a private balcony, which was lovely. The staff had left us a bottle of Prosecco for our anniversary. This little detail was amazing.

I wanted to take a moment to recognize the exceptional service I received during my recent visit to Over the Charles. I’m somewhat of a regular, but my sister and brother in law were visiting from out west and I brought them for dinner here on Saturday night. Olivia, our server, was the best- she managed to balance giving us space with checking in just the right amount, and her thoughtful, funny demeanor truly made our visit even more great. Also, the gentleman at the door (I unfortunately didn’t catch his name) was wonderful. He offered me many options for seating while the restaurant was quite full, but shortly afterwards he offered a better spot with a fantastic view when it became available. We had the best time catching up, but left talking about how wonderful your team is. Thank you!

We were a group of 8, and it was a fun evening. We sat upstairs, which made our boisterous conversation easy to follow as we each sampled a variety of delicious dishes. The tuna tartar and the yuca fries as appetizers were a hit, as were the shorty mash and lamb chops for entrees. The meal was capped with crème brûlée. We had a nice dinner here on a Friday night. It was our first time, and we will surely be back. The food is excellent. I had a wedge salad with scallops. The salad was huge-I took half of it home-and the portion of scallops was generous. They were very fresh, perfectly seared. I had a good 9but rather large) martini. The place is small and moderately noisy, but still very comfortable. The service was attentive. I recommend reservations, given the size and the growing reputation.

I had the veg samosa and tandoori shrimp! Excellent! I absolutely love everything about this restaurant. Food A+, Staff and servers A+. We went with friends last Saturday and are coming back with more friends this Saturday. To be honest, in the past I was not a fan of Indian food because of spices and heat. Vinny and Sam made sure my food had no heat and it was absolutely delicious. My friends aren't as picky as me and they loved their food too! It's a BYOB and a win win!

Went there with some family members…Our waiter Angel was the BEST! Fun, friendly, smart and efficient! We had shrimp cocktail that was delicious! Caesar salad, just ok. Porterhouse for two was AMAZING. And the corn brulet was outrageous! The sweet potato fries were tasteless… the owner or manager came over and we mentioned that- he said they were new and tasted it and agreed … but oddly didn’t take that off the bill. Just a suggestion for them for next time … I would definitely return though!

The food was delicious and the service wonderful, as always. However, I was a bit disappointed that they were out of a few items that we usually order. We always start with the mussels frites, but not this time. They were out of them. Instead we ordered the calamari, which was delicious and tender, but not what we were planning on and looking forward to. For the main course we all ordered pizzas, which were delicious and the main reason we come. For dessert we would have ordered 3 tartufos, but they only had 2, which is what our waiter told us they had started the evening with, so I guess we were lucky to get those. They were also out of tiramisu. We also had an order of chocolate chip cookies and our waiter was nice and added a couple of extras to the plate so that there were enough for everyone to share. We would definitely return here, but it would be nice if they weren’t out if so many of our favorite menu items.

My family of 4 had a reservation and showed up 5 minutes early. The place was moderately crowded, midday. There was a waitress and a bartender for the lower level and the waitress apologized as they were understaffed for that time. We waited 10 minutes to be seated (there was no one ahead of us) and another 15 minutes to have our order taken. Even though we were there for brunch hours and brunch was on the menu, the waitress apologized as they were not serving brunch. The food was alright. The best thing we had was the nachos with guacamole and salsa. I ordered the streak sandwich Au jus and the Au jus was like a mushroom gravy. The flat bread was above average and my 9 year old liked her chicken tacos. I did not see a kid's menu. All in all, it was alright. We probably will not return as there are so many other choices to choose from.

We selected the prix fixe menu for our large group and the food and service was exceptional! I would like to thank Maria taking care of our group! Maria made us feel valued as restaurant guests. Maria was extremely kind and professional and went about d and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Also, Christian the manager was great! He did an amazing job managing the restaurant and his mezcal flight presentation was top notch! The fire dancer was an exceptional touch and added excitement to a great evening. She took the time to greet our table and took pictures with our group. The food, service and ambiance was made for a memorable evening for my wife’s 50th birthday celebration! Keep up the good work! Last, but not least, special thanks to Daynah at group reservations for helping me get everything scheduled with the menu and seating arrangements. I had an amazing experience! The service was top-notch, attentive, and friendly. The food and drinks were delicious, with a great selection to choose from. But what really stood out was the atmosphere - good vibes all around! And a special shoutout to the jerk wings... they were SUPERB! Perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. I'd highly recommend them! Overall, I'd definitely be back for more. Great job, team!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant as a solo diner. I was treated well and the food was incredible. My eyes were bigger than my stomach, and the server very carefully packed up my leftovers so I could enjoy them the next day. In short, I was treated like family and I cannot recommend this place enough!

The WineGardenWest experience was amazing! I went for my birthday OpenTable messed up my reservation and these ladies took care of me and my party and celebrated me past their closing time! The decor is amazing and the drinks I even had a birthday cake 10 out of 10 to be treated like family who were strangers!

The place is nice, we were the first ones there and attended to quickly. The food was good, I have the social breakfast, scrambled eggs, potatoes bacon and wheat toast. All of it wa good but ootwtoes could have been softer. A few people came nothing crazy and was still pretty quiet ok a Saturday at burinch time. Doesn’t seem like a busy area for a big crowd to come but it’s a nice restaurant, modern touches and chill vibes.

Burger is fantastic! Enjoyed every single bite. Tuna and chips was a surprise star! fresh, fresh, fresh and flavorful. The hanger steak tasted good, but was tough - a disappointment. cocktails were very good too. Definitely recommend for a downtown eatery.

I had the most amazing time at Rocco's, a place where you could bring families, when you can bring colleagues, and where you can be on your own and received a stellar service. For Mother's Day it was one of the most beautiful moment, seeing families coming for fine dining. I salute the entire staff of Rocco and I commend them for a great job well done
