All of Brennan’s is wonderful, from its flamingo-pink exterior to its aviary-themed bar, but the courtyard is sheer magic. The beautiful space has landscaping and a burbling fountain, and it’s a setting fit for weddings, parties, and Champagne sabering, which happens at 5 pm from Thursday to Monday. If you’re here for a romantic dinner, the outdoor space invites lingering over Southern staples like Gulf fish amandine—don’t skip the bananas Foster, a boozy dessert that originated right here.

Cafe Degas has offered a leafy streetside setting since 1986, serving romance and elegant French food. The entire restaurant has an outdoor vibe—there’s a tree growing through the center of the main dining room, after all—but alfresco options also include covered seating on the front porch area and along the side. Come here for garlicky escargot and seared duck breast with summer fruit.

Taylor our server was nice and engaging for our brunch. Wonderful to have two soups on the menu to choose from on this cold day. The duck cabbage soup was thick and comforting but I will always love the onion soup. Ravioli app...no one does the lemon beurre blanc sauce better than Cafe Degas...we enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, Omelet special and the omg delish grits and grillades...the shared Paris brest rounded out our meal...I love Cafe Degas...it's always a special experience...

Everyone was super friendly, I was made aware of any specials and happy hours they were having upon my arrival, and the food was fresh and amazing!

While its French Quarter location attracts plenty of visitors, locals know that the views don’t get better than those at Landry’s on Lake Pontchartrain. It was a slow night for Landry’s when we visited, just days after the terrorist attack on Bourbon Street. But that didn’t stop the maitre’d, waitress, and manager from welcoming us and providing excellent service. We had both of the Mahi-mahi dishes and finished with cheesecake. Overall, a lovely dining experience to start off the Carnival season.

Wonderful experience! Many in my group had never been before, and they all loved it. Food was excellent, service was friendly and efficient, and the performance was amazing. Another successful Country Club outing.

Tucked within the opulent confines of the Four Seasons Hotel in New Orleans, Chemin à la Mer offers a culinary experience that's nothing short of sublime. My meal began with a ribeye, cooked to absolute perfection—succulent, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Alongside, I enjoyed Pommes Purée, so creamy and smooth it could easily be mistaken for a work of art. To cap off the evening, I indulged in a sour cream cheesecake paired with a rich, aromatic coffee. The dessert was divine, a perfect balance of tangy and sweet. What truly elevated the experience was the exceptional service and the enchanting ambiance. Seated with a breathtaking view of the mighty Mississippi River, the atmosphere was both elegant and serene. Café Sbisa is a more-than-century-old French Quarter brasserie led by chef and partner Alfred Singleton, who started in the restaurant as a busboy. We have been visiting restaurants for months and most visits have been mediocre to say the least. Born and raised in New Orleans, unless you visit the known , hidden gems, finding a different place to dine can be hit or miss. We have known about Cafe Sbisa since forever. I’ve tried it once, but couldn’t enjoy the experience for reasons (not at the fault of the restaurant, but at the fault of personal work related reasons) but I vowed to visit again when my husband and I had time. I am so angry we waited so long to visit this gem of a restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious. The service was top notch. The live band made the experience so special and memorable. After the first bite, we were hooked! And it takes a lot for my husband to give credit to restaurants. This restaurant made the top 3 of his list. Kudos to me for booking this long awaited dining experience . I’m mad at myself for being a local and not returning sooner!! We are in anticipation of returning. I haven’t stopped talking about this restaurant since visiting!!

The absolute best food we’ve had so far in NO! So good that we went back two days in a row. Our waitress, Cheeks, was amazing and recommended awesome choices. We will be back again when we are in town.

Service is great, although you have your own server, the other staff does not ignore you if you seem to need something. The cooks make sure the food is seasoned and cooked perfectly. The outdoor patio feels great, well lit, and has a nature feel with trees around it.

Chef-owner Samantha Castagnetti channels her northern Italian roots (she was born in Verona) at this elegant restaurant serving Mediterranean hits like shrimp scampi in pesto and spaghetti with veal meatballs. Our server, Rhonda, was just lovely. We booked for later in the evening and she was able to move us to a mid afternoon reservation. We felt that the toasted focaccia as a bread was absolutely lovely. Both of our pastas were very flavorful, and the pistachio gelato dessert was really lovely. Most of all, it was nice to sit quietly after being stuck in the blizzard of the century.
