Located on the campus of the Culinary Institute of America in San Antonio, Savor is the new student-staffed restaurant at the Pearl. The interior is bright and airy with wood and brass furnishings in the 2,500 square-foot space that seats 62 people in the bar area, lounge, and dining room. The menu is a classroom laboratory for advanced CIA students and features modern American food offered in a three or four course price fix. Menu options include items like fingerling potato and soft egg salad, curried potato soup and steak tartare along with entrees like Berkshire pork schnitzel, honey-chile roasted chicken and grilled rib-eye steak. The beverage program includes a full bar with a roster of classic cocktails from martinis and old-fashioneds to negronis and Manhattans.

Aldo’s Ristorante recently moved from its location at the Medical Center and now lives in the Dominion Ridge shopping center in northwest San Antonio. The new space is a full remodel of the now-closed Italian restaurant Di Frabo and features a full bar, a tiled pizza oven, private dining spaces and an expanded wine list. They offer a warm and inviting dining experience, just like an old Italian country home. The menu has a variety of homemade dishes cooked to perfection, including housemade pizzas, Spaghetti, Salmon Pavarotti and Scallopine Piccata. They also have a fantastic wine and cocktail list.

Ida Claire, a restaurant chain known for Southern dishes and delicious weekend brunch, opened its first San Antonio location at the Alamo Quarry Market. The restaurant has a 6,800 square foot space previously home to El Machito. I've mainly been here for brunch/ lunch and always have great service, not to mention an amazing menu, the food always comes out delicious, and a great drink menu!
