Lechon is a South American dining experience that seamlessly combines the fiery cooking of Argentina, Chile and Patagonia, along with creative inspiration of the chef. Enjoy perfectly charred 28-day dry-aged ribeye, grilled octopus with chorizo, housemade piquillo pepper and pork empanadas, slow roasted lechon, refreshing ceviches and smoked bone marrow.

Executive Chef Jaco Smith consistently pushes the boundaries on traditional Latin fare by incorporating wood-fired flavors into his cuisine while boasting a view of the Willamette River that few Portland restaurants can offer. Smith comes from a large family of cattle, sheep and grain farmers. He started cooking at a young age in his mother’s kitchen. His favorite childhood memories include the tastes of dulce de leche, flan and grilled breads, reminiscent of South American flavors and commonly found on South African kitchen tables.

    Join us at Lechon as we re-create a night in the Andes! Lechon will be partnering with Corazon del Sol to create a memorable night of Argentine food, CDS wines and friendship.                                                                     Easily one of the best places to eat in Portland. Ambiance is great, food is delicious! Service was excellent considering how busy it was. Helped to make us feel special on our special occasion as well. An absolute must try!

                                                                    As always, Chef Jaco and team provided us with an amazing experience with outstanding food and service! The Iberico Secreto Steak was a tender flavor explosion of tender juicy pork with bold seasonings cooked to perfection. The Octopus and Secreto are definitely my two favorite dishes on the menu. The Empanada dough is light and fluffy with fillings full of flavor. Every time I go, I wish I had room in my body to eat the entire menu in one sitting! Enjoy!

                                                                    We enjoyed our experience but would have liked more from our server. As first time diners some education on the menu would have been really helpful. I had to ask a lot of questions to understand how many things to order for the table and what certain dishes and flavors were like in addition to recommendations,, I feel like I was pulling teeth to get information from her. Would have been nice to have been offered some education upfront.
