Established in the heart of Palm Springs at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains, Le Vallauris has been one of the highest rated restaurants in the Coachella Valley since its inception in 1973. The exquisite cuisine at Le Vallauris is prepared by Executive Chef, Jean-Paul Lair, who has graced the restaurant for over 25 years. The Historic Landmark was built in 1927 as a home for the Roberson family, who managed Palm Springs' first hotel, The Desert Inn. Many grand parties were held in the house for guests such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and many more. Later on, when the restaurant was established it became a favorite place for Presidents and the Hollywood elite, and local socialites.

Mediocre food, (rack of lamb barely warm, and not at the temperature ordered, soufflés watery) windows dirty, (why were we not seated at a middle table so all had a view (it was not a busy night), a very disinterested server, unattractive table settings, (daytime china, salt & pepper shakers from a diner). Sadly, no longer the fine dining icon it used to be.

Outstanding experience. Beautiful indoor and patio seating. Impeccable service and menu fit for foodies. Delicious entries that are a work of art and the best chocolate souffle . A must try.

Overpriced for the food, etc. service and food slow for a night when the restaurant was not crowded. Waiter failed to volunteer the price of the special entree was $160. WOW! Glad we asked, but it was easiky 2-3x the price of any other entrée on the menu and should’ve been disclosed. Wines good.

Hello. We apologize for your poor experience. We would like to gather more information from you if you have time. There should have been no issues with service especially on slower nights. Please provide us some details about your visit like server name, time of your reservation etc. I looked in the books and do not see a reservation under your name. Also please clarify the actual price mentioned for the special for the Wagyu steak. In your yelp review it says $160 but on open table $260. Please message us on here with the details or call the restaurant at any time. Thank you for your help and we look forward to another opportunity to serve you again soon.

An unusually quiet Sunday Brunch, however most pleasant!! Nicholas was right on spot with our table and seemed to be in tune with our style...relaxed, but perfect. As I have said many times...it's the true "Gem of the desert..." and the paradise we call home!!
