Nice afternoon tea with family to celebrate two December Birthdays. The service was terrific, tea selection and scones were good. I was surprised that they didn’t have Devonshire Cream for the scones. The tea sandwiches and sweets were stale and sub par. Surprising for the price of the tea. They did bring out two lovely deserts for the birthday ladies with adorable gingerbread cutouts on the chocolate covered strawberries. Our party enjoyed the holiday experience and decorations but felt the food could have been improved.

Absolutely the worst experience and food I’ve ever had at a Fairmont hotel .. such a shame I’ve been going there 50 years . I’m just devasted over the amount of money spent there this evening and everything was absolutely the worst

There was nobody to greet us when we arrived. After more than five minutes, my husband went looking for a host. It still took several minutes for her to seat us. The noise level was ridiculous. We could barely hear each other without raising our voices. Our waiter said that's how it is in December. The food was okay, but a bit salty. We only ordered soup and salad, because we just wanted to leave. Why bother being fine dining, when there was nothing fine about it. The Fairmont should be better.

First off, the service was terrible. Our server was absent and forgetful. I would've understood if the restaurant was busy but it wasn't. He was impatient, unkind, and seemed to really not want to be there. The food was also subpar. One would expect that with such high prices the food would be to a tastier scale. The Mushroom Bolognese was a bit flavorless and kinda lacked mushrooms. It also lacked texture. The steak was tough and tasted like it had been microwaved or sitting under a heat lamp. It wasn't juicy at all. Our entire dining experience took too long and we think most of our food sat under a heat lamp which is why things tasted so dry. We were very disappointed in this restaurant.

We've done this annually for years. Today was the first time we were sat at a round table in the middle of the main path, which was very uncomfortable/less cozy and in the middle of the bustle - not sure why we were sat there, given it's space for 6-8 and we were a party of four - and I'd booked months ago. It felt very "open" and less intimate for the price. Every year there are less "elves" for the kids to enjoy, would love to see more brought back to add to the ambience - again for the steep price, those are the extras that add to the experience.

Took my granddaughter to fairmont Christmas tea as a special treat. The hotel decorations were beautiful, it is very crowded- obviously We were seated for the first seating at 1:00. Table had not been cleaned, sticky rings and smudges on table. Waited while hostess got a cloth Sat, waiter came after a bit. Explained things, took tea order. I had champagne, granddaughter had cider. We waited, and waited. Finally a plate with 4 biscuits arrived with 2 jams and a clotted cream. No presentation at all. Finished, waited waited. Finally was able to get champagne refill Granddaughter was never asked if she’d like refill. Waited again. The pyramid with 3 levels came. Sandwiches were nothing special, again no presentation at all To be fair, my tea experiences have been in the UK andNYC as well as Philadelphia HOWEVER, I’d be fine if the price reflected the quality or experience. 329. For a child and adult No idea what servers were doing- hardly saw them at all. Typical lack of customer care, I expected better from the Fairmont. Very overpriced- shame because it should’ve been a great experience

The Holiday tea was wonderful. A little pricey, but worth it. Great ambiance and environment. There was a live piano player playing great piano music.
