Restaurants near Ygnacio Valley Park

We hadn't been to Rooftop since before covid and were totally wowed. Of course, where else would you want to be on a warm, sunny winter day but perched atop Walnut Creek looking on Mt. Diablo and the surrounding hills. We arrived for lunch and all three of us loved our meals -- the dumpling starter was fantastic, and everyone loved their lunch (shrimp tacos, pappardelle/caesar, salmon/caesar). Our server was fantastic, the support staff attentive, the vibe was chill and the music great. Who could ask for anything more. Rooftop is now at the top of our WC dining list.

This is my third time at this location. I brought my friends for holiday get together and everyone was delighted with the food, service and ambiance of the place. Quality of food is very consistent.

Love this place for just about everything. Drinks like the Paper Plane , appetizer Green eggs and ham , and oh yes my favorite is the chicken pot pie the best around made in a cast iron skillet and big. Great for a date or girls night out. 5 stars all the way around. Parking is good also Broadway plaza and then you can do some retail therapy after eating and drinking.

Hadn’t been to Benihana is many years. What was I thinking?!! I sure missed out on some AMAZING food! Everything was cooked to perfection. Our chef was German, who was entertaining and engaging. If it wasn’t so damn expensive, I’d go more than one time per year!

The Sea Bass was delicious as were the crab cakes.
