- JJorgNorfolk/Suffolk •6 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoI and my wife utterly enjoyed dining ath the The Star Inn. I had a Venison Terine as a starter and Chargrilled Sirloin steak with Blue cheese sause and fries. Dessert was Mascarpone cream with White choclate and Orange Ice cream. I give 4 stars because it was very nice and enjoyable, I could give 5 stars but this I have to reserve for occasions when I eat something I've never had before in terms of creativity and quality. But well done, we'll certainly go back again.More infoThe Star Inn The CityPrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• York•4.5

- CCaroleYorkshire •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoFrom beginning to end our experience was a delight. We were made to feel special and valued. Our designated waitress looked after us brilliantly and the acknowledgement of our anniversary at the end of the meal was excellent and so appreciated. The attention to detail in every aspect was so pleasing. I have only marked the food down slightly because my husband's fillet steak was a little more rare than he likes but that is so difficult with that cut so it's my husband I should really mark down! Thank you for a special, and for me, a rare treat of an evening.More infoThe Ivy St. Helen’s SquarePrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• York•4.5
- CCaraYorkshire •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe ordered French onion soup, pork cheek to start which was delicious. Me and my partner both had the fillet steak with truffle and Parmesan fries, onion rings and mac n cheese everything was 10/10 no faults. Steak cooked perfectly. For desert I had the baked Alaska and my partner had sticky toffee pudding both were fantastic! Jonathan our server was amazing too!More infoThe Cut & Craft YorkPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• York•4.6
- CCrisYorkshire •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoBeen here many times and have enjoyed traditional Sunday roast (once) and the seafood sharing platter (many times). Always been a really good meal on here. On this occasion we opted for the Steak Sharing Board (2 x 10oz steaks plus a host of trimmings) for my girlfriend and I, and we weren't disappointed. Simply superb. A little more than we usually spend but happy to advise this is a case of you get what you pay for. Each of the sauces (blue cheese/peppercorn) was spot on as well I don't often leave reviews but this was worthy of me taking the time to come on here and do so. Really did enjoy it Also, must commend the friendly service from the two staff who were dealing with usMore infoThe Drovers Arms Restaurant & Country PubPrice: Moderate• British• York•4.7
