Magnus on Water is a cocktail bar and restaurant that features Peruvian-inspired comfort food from Chef Rafael Zimmerman. Bar Director Brian Catapang helms the Pinnacle Award winning cocktail program at Magnus, with rotating, seasonal drinks to compliment the big flavors of Raf's food. Sustainability is paramount to us, and we work with farmers & fisherman who are respectful of Mother Earth, while working diligently to minimize waste. Our space is polished, but still intimate and cozy, and in the summer Magnus on Water has a large outdoor patio, complete with gardens and fire pits. We also have a private dining room for large parties and are available for full or partial event rentals.

We currently offer in-house dining Tuesday through Sunday from 4:30-10:00pm (last dinner seating is at 9:30). Takeout is no longer available at this time. Patio dining is available Memorial Day weekend through September and always subject to weather. Please call us directly to reserve a patio table, but keep in mind that of the six 4-tops available outside, three are kept for walk-ins only.Our restaurant features Paolo Laboa, international chef from Genova, Italy. His menu consists of simple, flavorful and authentic Northern Italian cuisine. This includes handmade pasta, crudo (raw fish), fresh pizza and an all-Italian wine list.     We’ve been dining here for 3 years now. Something was off the mark this time. Don’t get me wrong the service was incredible and the atmosphere was top notch as usual. The food was lacking this time. It was good but it was lacking the extravagant flavors we’ve grown accustomed to when we dine here.

    Had a reservation for 6 at noon. We arrived and were seated at a table already set up for us. Nice. Drinks first then ordered the great food. Three of us ordered the wedge salad, one a Caesar salad, one a chopped salad with a chowder and the last ordered fish and chips, and ordered a fish and chips to bring home. The food was delicious and wonderfully prepared. The staff is excellent and very attentive. Wonderful.

    We went for the Christmas Eve family dinner and we had a wonderful time, the food was great, the service and ambiance superb and we lived the use of uni so delicate in the pasta and appetizers. Then dessert was fabulous with a wonderful tiramisu.

    A sensational evening. The host, Amy our server, the food, the ambience, the whole experience is off the charts impressive. If you haven't been here let me tell you in no uncertain terms get you derrière here sooner than later & enjoy this French Bistro. Tonight I wanted a1/2 dozen oysters with a wine mignonette unfortunately they were all sold out. Do I order french onion soup or do I just jump in & go with The steak frites? or should I have the day boat scallops? I'll tell you I'm having a very hard time deciding on what entree I will have. What do i do??? Ok I've decided I'll have the French onion soup & steak frites. I'm stuffed I have to take home 1/2 my dinner. Not a bad thing to enjoy some steak tomorrow morning. No room for dessert but the deserts sounded wonderful. Oops all my pictures somehow disappeared. I can tell you they were great pictures of all our food & the menus.
