After having a poor experience a month ago for my husbands birthday the Hotel Sutter Restaurant sent us a gift certificate. Our dinner last night was totally different ( positively amazing)! We started downstairs at the Copper Room Bar (great drinks and great ambiance and very versatile bar tender). We then upstairs to the restaurant and was given a choice table and an additional scotch which we had in the Copper Room. The dinner ( veal shanks and a wedge) was absolutely delicious! We were treated to ice cream and homemade carmel sauce ( again very yummy). The Hotel Sutter Restaurant has renewed our faith in coming back. Thank you staff at the Hotel Sutter Restaurant. I encourage any visitor to Sutter Creek to enjoy a special meal at the Hotel Sutter.

The food was amazing. The homemade brown bread was hot and soft, served with whipped butter and maple butter! My filet mignon was cooked just the way I like it! Seared on the outside and a perfect medium on the inside! We had the toasted pecan cheesecake for dessert! Probably the best cheesecake I’ve ever had! Our server was great too! Will definitely be back!!

All six of us had a very tasty meal, ordering six different menu choices. Every meal was cooked correctly, nice presentation, and had great taste. Servers were very good, but a longer wait for the food was probably going to be expected as there was a large group in the "party room" as well as the restaurant was very busy. Overall, we will definitely be customers again.

We weren’t impressed when we were here during Covid but we decided to give it another try n we were very pleased with the new menu. I had the braised beef short ribs n my bf had the beef Wellington. We had the octopus for our appetizer n it was delicious. We received the sticky toffee pudding for dessert n it was delicious also. I would go back n try the other foods on the menu. I give it five stars because they deserved it.

We enjoyed the service. The cocktails were Excellent. I ordered the fish and flies. It was very good. The group enjoyed it.
