- AAlisonWisconsin •7 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 1, 2025Once again, the Statehouse delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish. We brought two out-of-town couples to the New Year's Day brunch. Our original table was so close to the live band that we would have had difficulty talking with each other; we inquired about possibly being reseated and were immediately and graciously accommodated (even though we were a party of 6). Service was extremely attentive and efficient, without ever making us feel rushed. Having not seen each other for over a year, our group also lingered past the official morning seating close without incident. And of course, the food: heaping portions beautifully presented. The french toast and the pancakes were particular stand-outs! The Statehouse never disappoints -- the food, the service, the view, and the overall ambience are unparalleled in Madison!More infoThe StatehousePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Madison•4.5
- MMaryNew York City •4 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 22, 2024It was very cold in the restaurant. They did have a fireplace, though, which they seated me right next to. Brighton, the bartender, made me a hot toddy, which he calls the "Baby It's Cold Outside". VERY good. He's a terrific bartender, polished and professional. Dovie, the server, was very attentive and really nice. Too bad there was no piano player sitting at the baby grand. Unfortunately the cheese curds were not that great (they did only have one cook though). The salmon and polenta were fabulous.More infoTable ONEPrice: Expensive• American• Fond Du Lac•4.6
- BBarbaraWisconsin •9 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 14, 2024We chose to eat at Oakwood because Green Lake is halfway between us and another couple. As a resort town, Green Lake is quiet during the winter so the restaurant wasn't busy on a Friday night. We ordered shrimp havarti and potato skins for appetizers, and ribeyes, beef bourguignon, and gnocchi as entrees. The shrimp havarti was delicious and the steaks were large and cooked perfectly. The only complaint is that the potato skins were just that: potato skins, like large not quite done potato chips. We expected them to have toppings like cheese but there was nothing on them.More infoOakwood Restaurant and BarPrice: Expensive• American• Green Lake•4.3
- TThunWisconsin •1 review5.0Dined on Apr 17, 2022My mother and I dined here on Easter and we had a most magnificent time! Our server Marty was wonderful, caring, and humorous. Thank you for his service. I noticed that this Red Lobster could use a makeover. The carpet looks worn and dirty, and the bench we were sitting had torn fabric. Also, the dust on the ledges was quite noticeable.More infoRed Lobster - AppletonPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Appleton•4.2
