Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.     It was 8pm on a Sturday evening, it was raceday ay Haydock Park and the front of the pub was bouyant. We were sat in the dining room which was warm and friendly we could hear the DJ but easily speak to each other. The food was very good, and served by an excellent polite and friendly Waitress. One of us had steak for mains medium rare and it was, the other pork belly mash on greens which was very good. Staff gave us just the right amount of attention. And were nice and prompt with drinks for us In all a great start to a Saturday evening, Thanks team Pied Bull xx

    Food was amazing, the shepherds pie was delicious. The server was excellent but it was clear that they were the only one serving and waiting tables and behind the bar so maybe a little stretched.

    Staff are always friendly and helpful, Good choice of food , would prefer a choice of cheese on the vegan menu as a vegetarian I like normal cheese, just a suggestion not a complaint
