Beggar's Banquet has been making folks in East Lansing, Michigan beg for more since 1973. Not that the servings are small, but because you just don't want to stop experiencing one delicious menu item after another. It actually got its name from the proprietor's favorite Rolling Stones album that was released in 1968. The American cuisine at Beggar's Banquet is full of comfort food but with an elegant twist here and there. Options are plenty on the lunch menu, dinner menu, daily brunch menu and Sunday brunch menu. One notable item is the smoked salmon cake platter. The salmon is house-smoked then formed into three New England-style cakes, each with a different flavoring for variety that goes beyond anything you have ever had.     As soon as I walked in, I looked at my girlfriend in awe. Bowdies is absolutely beautiful. The way its decorated makes it feel almost home-like with comfortable energy, and the whole place smelt amazing. The service was fantastic, and the cook came to ask how everything was, he was a really cool guy. Everybody in there was so nice, and they played really good music, i loved the vibe. THE FOOD… The food was so good. The stake melted in my mouth, the lobster mac had an amazing creamy essence to it, and there sauces are delicious. The only thing im mad about when i think back to going, is not getting more food. Bowdies Chophouse in lansing is definitely a place worth going too, I would recommend it to anyone.

    Excellent service and food. The bolognese and tiramisu are incredible. Excellent wine choices. The wine tasting room is an excellent way to try a few things before committing to a glass with your meal.

    The chicken sandwich was like no other chicken sandwich I've ever had. The combination of a classic chicken sandwich with an Asian twist was amazing. Best chicken sandwich I've ever had!

    Great place to have dinner with friends. Was a very calm relaxed atmosphere and food was great. I had the steak frites and loaded fries. Both with great presentation and yummy. Matt our server was very knowledgeable and provided excellent service and conversation when appropriate.
