I brought some sparkling to start, and Ben, our server, handled it like a pro. Food was excellent -- the sauce on my salmon was the star of my meal. Some of us had the butter lettuce salad, which was HUGE. Throughout, Ben was attentive but not overpresent. We had a long meal, filled with conversation, but never felt rushed. I believe we were the last patrons to leave the restaurant (with a nice bag of leftovers). Our companions were very impressed by the food and the service. Just a lovely evening. Highly recommended.More infoAugie's FrenchPrice: Moderate• French• Santa Rosa•4.7

- SSharonSan Francisco Bay Area •5 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoFour of us went for breakfast on Christmas day. We were looking for an upscale restaurant for our traditional breakfast out with another couple. I did not realize that it would be a price-fix menu. Because of the limited menu items and dietary limitations, I needed to invent an egg with vegetable dish. Their country breakfast had eggs, sausage, potatoes, and toast. But since I did not eat sausage and they offered no gluten-free bread, I needed to think fast about whether I wanted to eat breakfast for $38. I asked the server if we could add vegetables to make an omelet. The chef created a delicious meal of eggs with spinach, onions, and mushrooms, a serving of baby-roasted potatoes, and a side of fruit substituted for the toast. It was fantastic.More infoRiver VinePrice: Moderate• American• Santa Rosa•4.3

The food was creative and they were very helpful dealing with a dairy intolerance issue. It was a it pricey, but worth it.More infoJohn Ash & Co.Price: Very Expensive• Californian• Santa Rosa•4.4

I make the same thing every holiday…. reservations at Stark’s. Festive decorations, a welcoming holiday atmosphere. Our server was warm, affable, professional without hovering. Just right. We all ordered appetizers, and the mussels were the unanimous winner. Little ones in a sauce worthy of sopping up with a second order of bread. My daughter ordered her favorite butter fish with sticky rice and it met her expectations again. The other two of us had the lobster, so perfectly prepared. Again. Generous portions left us too full for dessert, and memories of a lovely holiday meal . Thank you.More infoStark's Steak and SeafoodPrice: Very Expensive• Steak• Santa Rosa•4.8
