- GGiseleOttawa •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoFirst time dining at this restaurant, everything was wow, James our server was super helpful in guiding us on our dinner choices. We shared the ricotta gnudi appetizer which was delicious. Main course we had the short rib and the duck leg. We just could not get enough so delicious, tasted fresh and the meats were so tender melt in your mouth. We were full but had to try deserts. The butterfinger was much bigger portion than expected and wow! The chai tea creme brulee was yummy. We were very full and satisfied with our dinner and experience. We will be back soon! Highly recommend!More infoGezelligPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• Downtown•4.7
- DDianeOttawa •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoDinner was delicious as always and service was outstanding. The one not so great thing that I'd like to point out is that originally the hostess wanted to sit my husband and I at the end of a long table very close to the front door. With the entrance door being different from how it used to be (used to be a revolving door), it's absolutely FREEZING there and the wind howls in that door. Something really needs to be done about that. I asked to be moved and thankfully she was able to accommodate us. Our food would have been ice cold instantly had we sat there. I really thing management needs to address that situation; especially if someone makes reservations in advance. Other than that little hiccup, dinner was fabulous as always!!!! Will most definitely return but would ask in advance to not be say there.More infoJOEY LansdownePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• The Glebe•4.6
- TTannerOttawa •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoWent to this restaurant for a date. Upon arrival, the waitress was very kind and got us seated fairly quickly. The ambiance and atmosphere of the place was magnificent and gave a very romantic mood. I have to say, the lighting was very dim but in a good way that gave the perfect vibe for the date to set the mood. We were seated at a small table which included a real burning candle and a rose which smelled amazing. Although the tables are very close together and the noise level was fairly loud when we arrived, it was still a great mood and experience overall. The music which played in the background was R&B. As for the food, I had the Spaghetti Pomodoro and my date had the Spaghetti Meatballs. We were not disapointed with the quality of the food and the price. The food tastes fantastic and the prices are just right. Our waitress was also very attentive and consistently refilled our waters and took our orders for dinner and dessert at the right times. Overall, Cantina Gia is a fantastic restaurant for a romantic evening with that special someone. It does not disappoint.More infoCantina GiaPrice: Expensive• Italian• The Glebe•4.6
