Skull Creek Dockside Restaurant, dropped its anchor in the Fall of 2017 and forever changed the culinary landscape of the Lowcountry. In early 2017 the partners of the restaurant began to transform it into their vision for Hilton Head's newest waterfront dining destination. This restaurant, which resembles an old-style river house, is full of authentic architecture, reclaimed wood, and nautical accents that leave you feeling like you've stepped into a Melville novel.     We enjoyed our meal at Miramare Italian, which included a tasty blue crab linguini and bolognese with gnocchi. The food was wonderful and serving size was just about right. The selection of appetizers is excellent, but they are a bit pricey. Our server was upbeat, informative and attentive. The two seat tables are a bit close together, but overall the ambiance and background music was enjoyable. A great choice for Italian food in the Low Country.

    As always, Breakwater delivered! It was our wedding anniversary, and I felt as if we were treated like royalty. The food was beautiful and delicious, and our server was attentive without being intrusive. This is one of our go-to spots for special occasions and will continue to be.

    We stopped in for a drink at lunch, read the dinner menu and immediately made reservations for that evening. The drink menu was varied and excellent, the dinner menu had hidden gems and each meal was delicious and the service was perfect. If you’re ever in Beaufort, SC this is a must do restaurant!!
