Surprisingly interesting menu. Surprisingly good food. Surprisingly reasonable prices. Menu theme includes hints of Louisiana cuisine. Interesting variety of appetizers; Brussels Sprouts were outstanding. We were surprised to see as much fish as steak among the entrees. We ordered Chilean Sea Bass and Pan-Fried Grouper; both were excellent. At an earlier visit we had steaks; also excellent. Service was relaxed, friendly, and attentive‚ like eating at a family member's home. Finally, the ambience is traditional (lofty ceilings; wood beams) yet casual. There is also a large but very cozy-looking bar (in a separate room ), which we did not visit.

While our server Lucy was amazing the chicken dish when brought to the table was very very well done almost to the point of being black. That said the chicken was so dry you couldn’t even get it off the bone. Wish I had ordered the shrimp and grits like the rest of the table. Truthfully I would remove the chicken from the menu

What a find! Santa Maria is a welcomed change to the normal TexMex. Instead, they are a fusion of true Mexican and Spanish cuisines with Tapas as well as full plate options. They also have a full oyster menu as well as homemade, delicious desserts. Their drinks menu was original along with the usual favorites. Our server was friendly and gave us great service. The manager came over to check on us and it’s obvious that everyone there cares a great deal about the customers experience. The ambiance is very nice and upscale as well. Highly recommend!
