- LLaurenHouston •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoPros: 1. Despite our discerning tastes, all 6 of us loved every app & main ordered - roasted artichokes, spicy tuna crispy rice, snow crab, avocado wedge, spicy Caesar, pasta Za Za, grilled branzino, NY strip, broccolini, and lobster Mac. Everything was well seasoned and presented in an appetizing way with appropriate plate sizing (something that often goes overlooked). 2. Generous portions were great for sharing and trying everything! 3. Drinks were strong and balanced (various martinis) and the somm recommended the perfect wine when our first choice was sold out 4. Good vibes with the decor, lighting, and music Cons: 1. We had a reservation for 6 way ahead of time, but still seated at a round booth intended for 4, maybe 5 max 2. This made the table pretty crowded with multiple glasses and plates per person. It was a struggle for sharing. And then a waiter knocked a full water glass onto my partners lap ☹️ (note: in most nicer Houston restaurants, this would typically mean an automatic comp on *something* but did not here) 3. We discussed with our server the debate between med rare and medium on the strip to suit all tastes, and went with medium based on server feedback. It came out medium well/well-done 🙁 4. All the desserts sounded amazing, we tried three (banana foster, strawberry cake, chocolate pie) and I’ll say that none will be ordered again. Just a few too many hiccups to go unnoticed, but overall a good time with great foodMore infoDrake's Hollywood - HoustonPrice: Very Expensive• American• Montrose•4.6
- KKimvipNew Orleans / Louisiana •6 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoAnnabel Brasserie in Houston is a delightful destination for anyone looking to enjoy French cuisine in a stunningly festive setting. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with an elegantly styled bar and a cozy, holiday atmosphere that sets the perfect tone for the season. With multiple seating options—patio, sunroom, and a chic main dining room—you’ll find a spot that suits your vibe, whether it’s a casual brunch or a special evening out. The Christmas decorations are truly next-level, creating a warm and festive ambiance that adds a touch of magic to the experience. We sampled the steak, mussels, and fries, and each dish impressed. The fries, in particular, were standout—crispy, flavorful, and utterly addictive. The meal struck a perfect balance of casual dining in a refined, upscale atmosphere. Annabel Brasserie combines exceptional food, stylish decor, and holiday cheer into one unforgettable experience. It’s a must-visit, especially during the Christmas season!More infoAnnabelle BrasseriePrice: Expensive• French• Montrose•4.6
