Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant’s entrance, a well-curated modern-day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, boom­box, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures, and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry.     The River Cafe is my favorite restaurant in New York, and probably anywhere else too! The beautiful romantic atmosphere, amazing views, warm yet attentive service and truly exquisite food make for a perfect experience. It is a special occasion place, not for everyday, but we have celebrated our anniversary there several times (when in the city - we do not live in NYC), and this time it was our 50th. They did not disappoint! I hope I get to go back for many more special occasions. We took our adult son with us and he loved it as well.

    Do yourself a favor and transport yourself to Mars for an evening. Delightfully weird and tremendously tasty, this innovative restaurant is a guaranteed good time. Paul D'avino and co are all stars as creating a welcoming atmosphere and unforgettable meal. From the cocktails to the pastas to the science behind melty cheese - top notch meal. No notes!
