Restaurants near Smalley Playfield

We happened upon Jags by pure happenstance tonight, the night before Thanksgiving, while traveling to family for the holiday. We were stuck in traffic on 75N and decided we didn’t have it in us to make it all the way to Fort Wayne. 11 hours for a normal 6.5 hour trip is just ridiculous. We booked the Staybridge and I booked a bar reservation at Jags thanks to reviews here, not even realizing it was in the same parking lot! What a fortunate surprise! From walking in the door, to our experience with Dan and his colleague, a lovely gal with rooster earrings, but I can’t recall her name for the life of me, everything was absolutely phenomenal!! The crab bisque, filet and crab cake, the sides, the CARROT CAKE! The espresso martini the Weller CYPB…all of it top notch! Don’t even hesitate or question it. Just go!

Michael did it again, he is an amazing server who gave us a phenomenal experience. Food was great!

We had an absolutely delicious meal at Tano Bistro. I’m still dreaming of the Tuscan chicken sandwich. Everybody at our table loved what they ordered!

This was our first time eating at this restaurant. Service was exceptional, and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Being retired we have done the romantic dinners with flowers and candle light, so this was just a fun change of pace. The staff went all out to ensure that our evening was enjoyable. From being greeted at the door and being shown to our table to the red and pink tablecloths the ambiance was just right for these two seniors date night.
