Restaurants near Ruth Hall Museum of Paleontology

We took advantage of a rare Sunday night for Arroyo Vino and enjoyed a series of culinary home runs from Chef Allison (a regular phenomenon on any night)! We ordered three 'shareables': Crispy Chicken Confit Croquettes with lemon aioli and grape mostarda; Fried Calamari with a spicy marinera; and Grilled Local Carrots with whipped feta, dates, harissa, pistachios, and herb salad: Wow! Each dish had its own unique zing! Manny brought each to the table just as we were ready for it. We jumped to the 'mains' and ordered the Red Wine Braised Boneless Short Rib Frites, with creamed local spinach, fresh horseradish, hand-cut kennebec fries. A melt-in-your mouth tenderness. Dessert and a caffé corretto finished the evening. Wine as recommended by Hannah.

Great quality food and knowledgeable staff. Lots of thought and care put into the food and drink offerings. Awesome gluten free options! GF fried chicken and chicken fried steak!!!

Would be lovely if one of the non dairy milk options for coffee was unsweetened plain soy. I’d have brought my own if I knew Ojo didn’t have any (I dislike almond milk). I did bring vegan Parmesan to put on the pasta, which I got without the cheeses - and the pasta was delicious, as was the tofu scramble for breakfast. Nice that there are tasty vegan options.

Our neighborhood favorite, El Nido always comes through for us! Lovely spot for a cozy meal last night. Roasted Butternut Squash soup starter, Empanadas, and Grilled Salmon made the perfect meal. Cranberry Spritz and Black Walnut Manhattan were both spectacular. Service is always friendly and attentive.

Everyone at Gabriel’s did an outstanding job for our BIG family birthday dinner celebration! We had 17 people…including 3 young children. The service was excellent! The food delicious! They even let us bring in our own birthday cake. Special kudos to Girardo!
