At KELP we take our time to make sure the food that goes on your plate is a fresh and local as possible. We source our seafood to be specifically Scottish and sustainable. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers for all our food. The fish people supply our fresh seafood daily. Our bread comes from Soja bakehouse, a family owned bakery in Cumbernauld. Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden. Our executive chef, Christopher Hutchison, creates amazing, innovative dishes to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. We now have an AA rosette for 2023/2024 to highlight his and the teams amazing work. We are located on Cowcaddens Road, just around the corner from our sister restaurant, Ardnamurchan Restaurant and Bar and a stones throw from the theatre royal. Perfect for a meal before a show.     Ok so our bill was £190. That included starter, steak and 2 drinks for each of 2 people, plus one empanada. Steaks were on the cheaper side, and so were the drinks. You decide yourself if it's worth it. The service was really really lovely, and everyone that works there is super professional. The food was... Honestly not that impressive. Everything we had - we have had a better version of that elsewhere before. For starters we had beef tartare and salmon tartare tacos, and both were not that great. For mains, we had steaks and they were completely unseasoned. I don't know if that's how it is supposed to be but I think it would have been much better if the steaks were at least salted. To be fair, they were cooked great, so that's good. Overall, I don't think I'll be back. I feel like I can get so much more for the same amount of money elsewhere, and tastier.
