- IIanNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoA quiet Monday evening in February but the WH was busier than expected according to the excellent staff who, despite clearly working at full throttle, were polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was of a high standard and very plentiful. The atmosphere was refined, conversation easy and the nice fire only added to the general enjoyment of good food and wine in a cozy and relaxed establishment that clearly knows how to treat its customers.More infoThe Whittling HousePrice: Moderate• British• Alnmouth•4.6

I had the famous fish & chips which never disappoints and my wife had the Dover Sole which she really enjoyed. The view from the restaurant with the wild crashing waves was spectacular. Can be relied upon to create the perfect start to our regular short breaks. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else.
