- HHowieVIPBaltimore / Maryland •347 reviews4.0Dined 6 days agoThis was our second visit to Village Square Restaurant and we enjoyed it. It’s good but not great. The ambiance is the best thing going. Comfortable, dim lighting, active fireplace, brick walls…feels a bit like a Colorado ski lodge. We’ve only dined here for lunch. The food is solid. (We’ve reviewed the dinner menu, which seems more special.) Martinis were done nicely, although the pours aren’t generous. We started with a dozen raw oysters, nice presentation. For entrees, my wife enjoyed the pot roast French dip. Good dish. I had the lobster roll. Also good. Devlin, our server, was very nice, personable, but service was slow at times. Overall, a positive but unremarkable dining experience. Even though we haven’t been here for dinner, I’d recommend Village Square “blindly” before doing the same for lunch.More infoVillage Square RestaurantPrice: Expensive• American• Winchester•4.5
- RRichardVIPPhiladelphia County •61 reviews4.0Dined 7 days agoTo be clear, I’m a big fan of the Bedford Springs resort, but the upscale dining options there have always felt…underwhelming. I dined on a Saturday night in the Crystal Room. I like the way the Crystal room presents, with simple, but classic decor right in the heart of the hotel. But the menu is very conservative and rather limited, and quite expensive, so it can’t help but be a little disappointing. My partner had the salmon and I had the pork medallions: both were good, solid, well prepared, and flavorful. Our server was very nice, attentive and charming. Our food came out in a very timely fashion. I’ll dine there again I’m sure, and my guess is that when I do I will again wish the prices matched the overall experience a bit better.More infoCrystal Dining Room at Bedford SpringsPrice: Very Expensive• American• Bedford•4.6
