Restaurants near Powhatan Courthouse Historic District

We've been wine club members for about 1 1/2 years. We took our son and his wife for wine tasting and dinner last night for his birthday. My standard complaint is how packed the wine tasting bar is and how long we have to wait. Other than than, we had a fun experience and our dinner was enjoyable as usual. I've discovered the Shrimp Scampi which is wonderful. Our food was great, wine was good, noise level high but not sure what can be done about that. Our server was Janie and she was delightful and attentive. All in all another good evening!

This restaurant is a top-tier restaurant. The pork chop is by far the best pork chop you’ll ever have. Hands-down. Megan our server, was very patient very kind, and was engaged with us to make sure that we had a great experience. I went to the original Steakhouse in Austin, Texas, and when I found out it was in Richmond, I had to go. It is very pricey, so it’s more of a “treat” restaurant, but still a top notch restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

First place to ever charge me $2.50 for 3 stuffed olives in my drink especially when I just asked for 1.

An old farmhouse has been transformed into a restaurant. They have indoor dining in various rooms of the house and a bar area. Outdoor seating is also available all seasons on the porch and patio. There are tented areas with heaters in winter. Food was delicious and service was impeccable. Parking area is between Lola's and the road beside the house. And the best....we were able to have a conversation and had no problem hearing each other, so refreshing!!!

Everything was delicious from drinks to dessert. We would highly recommend the duck. It was perfectly seared. The staff was very welcoming and was very attentive. We will be back!
