The food was fantastic. We also tried two alcoholic drinks; they were fine but nothing special. The only thing we felt could improve was the habanero chili sauce. It didn’t have any spice at all, which was surprising. As a museum meant to preserve Yucatecan gastronomy, the sauces should reflect the true flavors, including the expected heat. None of the salsas were spicy, and even we, who rarely eat spicy food, could finish them without a problem. The food was excellent overall, but the sauces could be more authentic to the traditional flavors.

Excellent service and a lovely atmosphere with soft background music made for a relaxing dining experience. The food was outstanding—beautifully presented and full of flavor. Every detail was thoughtfully executed. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking a memorable meal.

It's a bummer they have a "smokers area", makes half the non-smoking place smell like an ashtray. Other than that, best steak I ever had in Merida.

Good experience. Steak had a nice char and very tender. Service was good. Ambience good. Music could have been different and softer. The sides should have been served hot. BUT overall very good.

I love all of Bran's restaurants and Casa Del Pastel is no exception. The food is great, staff is well-trained. I just wish the music weren't so loud. We get together with friends to have conversations and the noise level on the front and DJ side of the terrace is grating. That is also true of the beach.
