Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. The two met, fell in love, and became engaged on Martha’s Vineyard island. Moving back to Sioux Falls in 1999 and working at several area restaurants, they opened R Wine Bar in 2018. As owners of R Wine Bar, Riccardo and Marybeth are passionate about one thing: people. They believe that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.     There were 6 people in our party. We had a variety of entrees ranging from steaks to salmon to pasta. Everyone said their food was delicious. The prices were reasonable. The service was excellent. We appreciate that you are able to make reservations. We will definitely be eating there again.

    We split the 12oz delmonico ribeye, with the Boursin mash potatoes and mushroom topper. It was delicious!! Drinks were good, the Pom Martini was yummy. My husband tried the manhattan but it was okay he is not fond of rye whiskey. Of course we had to dessert, my husband loves the traditional grasshopper milk shake with alcohol, it was very good, could have been slightly 5hicker. I had the death by chocolate cake, well only a small portion and brought the rest home.
