Fortunately that is NOT the case with Silver Girl! To start, the completely renovated interior is so inviting. Its sharp and sophisticated with contemporary colors, accents and low lighting that sets the mood. The wide open, large bar/island in the center serves as a stage for the bartenders. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the show. The whole room exhudes warmth and calmness. I'm trying to remember the former Savory Lane shrine to Bruce Springsteen but alas there are no remanants whatsoever. The food is creative, tasty and well-prepared. The chef, Dawn (Eve) hails from Louisiana and there are many nods to their food tradition, although subtle. The popovers with compound butter and carmelized onion was a nice way to start the meal. I also got a single crostini ($3) with tasso and something zingy. So fresh, crispy and on-point. The duck cassoulet reminded me of the first time I ever had this dish in New Orleans at Broussard's. The duck was perfect!!! The cornmeal crust was consistently crispy and void of overly fatty skin. The beans were hearty and a perfect balance to the rich duck. An excellent dish, Cocktails and mocktails were complex and innovative. Service is well-above the usual exurbs level. This is a tight group of bartenders, servers and hosts that work hard but remain calm and warm. They are dialing it in. Off to a good start. Keep it up. "See how they shine."More infoSilver GirlPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Acton•4.8
- EElaineVIPColumbus •5 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoI always have a delicious meal and a fun time at True West. I moved to Boxborough a year ago, so I bring a lot of friends over after they come to visit my new home. I have never had a bad meal, service experience, or time at True West! My guests always love it! I’m so grateful to have True West in my neighbourhood. And if it weren’t, I would travel to it. It’s got a great down- to-earth feel with excellent service, food, beer, and ambience. What more could you want?More infoTrue West BreweryPrice: Moderate• American• Acton•4.4
