We've been dining at Arnaud's for special occasions for years and years. So it was a happy occasion to find ourselves back at Arnaud's again this week for an annual birthday celebration. And, we'll be back again. Listen.....this establishment is a real gem that keeps focused on getting better and delivering the results. GREAT food, wide range of creative signature menu choices and - as always- superlative service. Don't miss an opportunity to dine at Arnaud's if you're in NOLA.

Mr B's was, overall, the perfect way to end a good week full of good food in NOLA. The braised short rib dinner was very good. The bacon- wrapped shrimp and grits dish was one of the best renditions of that dish we've ever had, and we have sampled many. The Gallette de Roi (king cake) was fabulous, and, as a bonus, it wasn't covered with the bizarre -- and to me, off-putting -- purple, green and gold colors that the store bought ones have. Finally, our server, Rasheed, turned a great meal into an overall superb evening. He was efficient and helpful without being intrusive, very personable to talk to, and he provided thoughtful insights as we asked about some of the dishes and how they might appeal to our preferences. He was extremely professional, and yet he felt like a friend by the time we left. (If the management is reading this, you need to hold on to this guy with both hands. Give him a promotion and a big raise to ensure no one else snaps him up.) We'll definitely go back to Mr. Bs the next time we're in New Orleans.
