We enjoyed it so much!! I had the scallops - they were world class. Absolutely perfect. There were three good sized sea scallops and a delicious raita like sauce. I also had the rice and lentil pilaf. It was soul-warming comfort food. We shared the hummus - I was concerned the chili oil would make it too spicy, but it was flavorful, not spicy. Other items included a halloumi flatbread, bone marrow fritter (I don’t remember the actual name), and a stewed eggplant and tomato dish. The meal was started with wonderful fresh bread and an olive oil/balsamic dip. We shared the chocolate Turkish coffee cake for dessert. Do not leave without this cake!! We also had Turkish coffee. The food and the service was all flawless. We had more than we could eat - and the total was $100. Great value for a world class dining experience. We can’t wait to come back next time we are in DC.

I was very grateful the hostess was able to accommodate my request for a table by the window as this is a very lively and energetic place on a Saturday evening. More so with all the happenings in DC to include a hockey game. It is undoubtedly a challenge to orchestrate timing of reservations, seating, and staffing to ensure good service (for those wondering why there are open tables). Our server was a very pleasant and efficient young man, the other staff who delivered food and removed plates were likewise pleasant, and the food was delicious. It is a lively venue - especially once all the tables fill up and they did within a short time of us sitting down shortly after 430 pm!

This was our 2nd time eating at Succotash. Just as good as the first time. We ordered the Taste of the South. The food was excellent and we got to sample a variety of food from the menu. Fried green tomato salad, deviled eggs, chicken wings, shrimp and grits, ribeye steak, chicken and waffles, cornbread, collard greens and garlic smashed potatoes for the two side. OMG so good. We took our dessert to go we were so full. Highly recommend Succotash.

From the moment you step into Jaleos , you’re enveloped in energy. The vibrant decor beautiful colorful throughout sets the stage for an unforgettable culinary adventure. The lively chatter and laughter of fellow diners create an atmosphere that is both inviting and exhilarating. The star of the show is undoubtedly the tapas. Each dish is a masterpiece, bursting with flavor. The grilled octopus is tender and smoky, paired with the refreshing endives with goat cheese, almonds and citrus elevates the experience. And then there’s the ibérico ham—oh, the ibérico ham! It’s nothing short of stupendous. Sliced paper-thin, it melts in your mouth, delivering an explosion of nutty, savory flavors that linger long after each bite. The service is equally impressive, with staff who are not only knowledgeable but genuinely passionate about the food they serve. In summary, Jaleos is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Spanish cuisine. With its energetic vibe, outstanding tapas, and magnificent ibérico ham, it promises an experience that delights all the senses!

We had a wonderful dinner at Oyamel after visiting the Holiday Market at Gallery Place. The food continues to be delicious. Our favorites were the cheese enchiladas with mole sauce, the sweet potato and black bean tamale, the shrimp ceviche and the mushroom tacos. The portions were just right and the prices were reasonable. We changed our party size from 4 to 5 and back to 4 again. The staff was very accommodating as we had to make changes. It was a great evening with friends
