It was a great experience, realty relax, people we wonderful, food was 5 star but not pretentious, felt like I was in someone’s home. I would recommend seating out front where the fireplace is, it’s gas but it’s a beautiful room. Highly recommend!!More infoThe Oxford House InnPrice: Expensive• American• Fryeburg•4.6

- GGlenVIPGreater Boston •52 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoEven though I messed up on the reservation time and our party therefore arrived late, the hosts were very gracious, welcoming and accommodating. We were seated right away at a great table (I think any table in there would be great, truly). Our server Stefan was terrific, attentive and helpful. The drinks and food were excellent, with very interesting flavors and flavor combinations. Though it is a bit pricey, the experience is worth it and I highly recommend it.More infoLucky CheetahPrice: Expensive• Chinese• Portland•4.7
- SSandraGreater Boston •31 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024We had a wonderful Christmas eve dinner at Solo Italiano (with the help of an early Christmas gift card!) The Il Cappon Magro was a really fun and different antipasti starter course for a special evening. As we were walking to our table, we had seen in the prep area behind the glass, this rather giant jello mold looking mound with shrimp that piqued our interest. Upon inquiring, we discovered it was a "traditional Genovese fish layered 'cake' of halibut, scallop, lobster, Gulf shrimp, mussels, salsa verde, beets, cauliflower, carrots, green beans and potatoes!" (took photo of description off the menu!) We shared a very large serving, and thoroughly enjoyed it, although too much for the 2 of us to finish as an appetizer! For our main courses, we had a very good stuffed ravioli as well as an amazing "Filetto in Crosta" beef tenderloin in puff pastry with foie gras & prosciutto, served with Brussels sprouts, their house steak sauce and winter truffles. The wonderful chocolatey dessert was a great finish!More infoSolo ItalianoPrice: Expensive• Italian• Portland•4.7
