Restaurants near Mud House

Wow, every visit to Next Door is really outstanding and special! Bethany is a lovely server and always a pleasure to see whenever I go to Next Door. The madai nigiri special was sensational, lightly seared and topped with citrusy condiment, jalapeño and a Japanese hollandaise called kimizu. What a treat! The tuna tataki, miso roasted eggplant, miso soup and ikura, hamachi and sake nigiri were all delicious. The grilled bronzino was perfectly cooked with crispy skin, and all three of the sauces and the crunchy, refreshing daikon salad go very well with the fish. Thank you so much to the chefs that work so hard to make this amazing food, it is a great gift to be able to come to Next Door. Thank you so much and see you soon!

Another great time at Amore. Chef Pasquale was, as most times, behind the counter. The smoked salmon with exquisite sauce was one of the best ways to enjoy the smoked salmon. The light lemon vinegaret was absolutely perfect. On the light side, my margarita pizza was thin crust - the best crust you can have - and it was hard to stop. Definitely we will be back!

We dined on a Wednesday evening, and the restaurant was nearly empty, so it’s hard to judge the noise level. However, the food was outstanding, the ambience was warm and lovely (much better than it looks in the photos online!), and our server was highly attentive, knowledgeable, and gracious. We had Caesar salads—one of the best I’ve had in a long time— lobster and shrimp mac & cheese, and street corn. The side dishes are huge! We ended up taking so much food home that there was enough for three more meals. I would highly recommend that the restaurant halve the portions and bring the prices down. It would’ve been nice to sample more dishes, but our bill would have been astronomical. Nevertheless, a wonderful dining experience in ROC!
