- CCarolyne BarnwellMontreal / Quebec •5 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoImpeccable environment. Restoration of this iconic place is meticulous and beautiful. One senses the professionalism of the staff without the chi-chi and all seemed happy to be working there. Service was fluid yet never rushed. The tomato soup was velvety with just enough zing. The breaded fish was light and tasty. Good coffee. Will definitely go back!More infoLe 9e - Restaurant Ile de FrancePrice: Expensive• French• Downtown•4.5

- MmichaelNew York City •17 reviews4.0Dined on Oct 18, 2024Bungalow has essentially a classic bistro menu with some updates. Fried calamari with salad was an excellent appetizer for two people to share. It seemed fresh and well-prepared. Mains of steak (cooked exactly as requested) and navarin d'agneau (underseasoned) were perfectly fine withoug being at all distinctive. In short, exactly what I usually want from a bistro: a predictable meal of good quality ingredients, classically prepared with no surprises. On the night we were there, it was not at all crowded, so noise level was fine. But we could easily hear the conversation of a table at the other end of the restaurant, so I imagine it might be noisy when full.More infoRestaurant BungalowPrice: Expensive• Market Cuisine• Plateau Mont-Royal•4.7
