Located in the heart of the old railroad and mining town of Minturn, the Saloon’s building dates back to 1901. During the last one hundred years it has been, at one time or another, home to various taverns, restaurants and even back room gambling for railroaders. While the last five decades have seen the development of Vail and Beaver Creek resorts just seven miles on either side of Minturn, the town’s appearance and feel retains its historic Colorado roots. Recently under new ownership, The Saloon has undergone a complete renovation and reopened in November of '23 with a fresh new menu and updated space. Fabulous birthday lunch. We each ordered something different. The birthday girl really enjoyed her hamburger. The second gal liked the walleye, but thought a lot of breading. My chicken salad was good, but preferred last year’s preparation more. The apple pie was a surprise winner, as we weren’t sure about the addition of bacon.

We had an amazing experience! It was our first time going to this restaurant after seeing many reviews. We tried several things to share and every thing was delicious! The French onion lasagna with truffles and citrus salad were a great start! The beef and broccoli + Colorado striped bass were excellent! The service was great, as well! Highly recommended.
