Restaurants near Middle Fork Savanna County Forest Preserve

One of my all time favorite restaurants. Treated my dear friend for a birthday celebration. I love the elegant ambience, the understated, but attentive service. I have never had a bad dish here. Order anything based on your own preferences as to protein, spice level and you can’t go wrong. At Le Colonial I know there is a chef at the helm of the kitchen. For lunch for 2 we shared an appetizer, the ribs, then small pho and salmon for the main we could have stopped, but dessert is a must for a birthday and we were not overstuffed. Chocolate lava cake flambéed table side was a treat. My 4 stars for value is birthday desserts are not comped, but they do add a special happy birthday chocolate to the dessert. Just so you know if you go. Believe me, not a deal breaker. I’ll be back soon.

They are pretty awesome there. Not really good at describing things but if you want a solid place to eat with good staff and a manageable menu then this will be your favorite Friday night spot .

Our first time here and it was for the experience if Restaurant Week & everything was fabulous. The waiter was very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and flavorful. The music in restaurant for ambience was at Avery nice level. It wasn’t noisy with all the tables that were full. 8oz filets very tender and flavorful. The spinach & artichoke dip was perfect amount with the right amount of chips. The dessert was rich & decadent with fresh flavor. The salads Caesar had actual anchovies on it they do ask before serving if you want them. And the wedge salad was spot on. Loved the one strip of bacon on top the right touch.

The shrimp appetizer was the best! Sweet and spicy and hitting all the right notes.

Great meal. Food was outstanding and service was excellent!! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return.
