Restaurants near Memorial Park

This was our tenth time eating at Far Western Tavern. The occasion was our wedding anniversary. The food is always very good, it does take a while to received the main coarse of the meal. The service has always been good but this time the waitress didn't attend us like she should have. The service was very slow and she forgot to serve us the shrimp cocktails that came with our meals. By the time we received the main coarse we were ready to go home. The twice baked potato is a must to order. This time also there was loud Spanish music playing upstairs which made it very difficult to have a conversation with the rest of our party. The parking this time around was very difficult to find a spot. The street parking was full for blocks and the side dirt parking, inconsiderate folks were blocking other cars making it impossible for one angry customer to leave the parking lot when we arrived. I didn't give rating less stars since the other visits were a lot better and they didn't have the loud music. This was the worst visit so far and it sucks that it happened on our anniversary. Our special day was perfect until this visit at the end of it, the next anniversary I will consider other local steak houses for a more romantic atmosphere and better parking.

It was great as always with the best Spencer steak cooked to perfection. This was the second time being served by Denny and he was great again.

We had Oysters which were outstanding. Had an order of Brussell Sprouts which were the best I've ever had. Husband had the Seafood Pasta special which he loved. Splurged on the Pina Colada bread pudding. It was really good and different but think I would order something else next time.

We had a reservation and were led to our table only 7 minutes after our time. Pretty good considering how busy the restaurant was. Wait staff was excellent. Baked potato was a little undercooked, but everything else was great. Excellent value, considerably less expensive than recent lunches at other restaurants.

The best experience I have had in over ten years of enjoying Adelina's. Prix Fix menu of salmon salad (huge portion of grilled salmon), osso bucco done just perfectly over mashed potatoes and crisp veg. Sorbet to finish. Well done chef and team.
