Founded in 1934 while the country was in the throes of the Great Depression and just one year removed from the repeal of prohibition, Jimmy Kelly made a promise to himself and his diners. Simply put, he would serve a great steak, a generous portion of whiskey and insure the service was always attentive. Making good on that promise has been the cornerstone of the restaurant’s success and enabled it to survive and flourish. Now over 80 years later and operated by the third generation of Kellys, it has earned a reputation as one of the grand old restaurants not only in Nashville but the entire southeast.     Celebrating a birthday, they went out of their to make him feel special. Birthday photo, chocolates and a card. On top of that our filets were tasty and cooked to perfection. The lobster Mac & cheese was the best I’ve ever had and lava cake was great too. Our server Daniel took great care of us from start to finish. I prefer this traditional steak house to a “trendy” restaurant any day!

    First time to eat at The Henry. The staff was very personable, welcoming and attentive. Our server. Carlee was excellent; very informative and helpful. The menu is great and the food is excellent. Highly recommend the rotisserie chicken and avocado salad and the butter cake with caramel sauce for dessert. The restaurant has a good vibe.  I look forward to eating there again. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    First time at the Hampton social and it was a good time for real! I had a party of 12 and the staff accommodated us very well. The food was great, we ordered several appetizers, and many other things from the menu. We’ll be back for sure!
